It is the home of twenty percent of the global rose sales. Surprisingly, the city also seems to be an excellent place to retire as well as work. It was rated highly as a place for retirees.
The real estate market in Tyler has grown to match the population. New developments are common, and can range from a small, single family home to an entire neighborhood. One new development, The Crossing, attempts to combine an appreciation of nature with a set of new complexes. Another newly built home comes complete with guest house, pool, and garage for $1.5 million. Yet it is still possible to find homes for a lower price range, with new homes available at under $50,000.
